sunday school

Disciples of Jesus Christ never graduate from his school in this life. One component of our Christian Education ministry is Sunday school for all ages. Sunday school begins at 9 a.m. *Nursery is available for 0 to 24 months during this time*

  • Covenant children

All ages will participate in a time of music during Sunday school, where they will learn songs that will reinforce the lessons they've learned as well as familiarize them with what they will hear as they participate in corporate worship. Children will be learning music from Songs for Sapplings. You can find this music free to play at home.

    • Toddlers (ages 2 to 3) will be learning from the Show Me Jesus curriculum. Lessons and activities show children how every story in the Bible points to Christ and God's plan to save his people.
    • Preschool (age 4), Elementary (ages 5 to 7) and Upper elementary (ages 8 to 10) will be learning from age-appropriate Kids Quest curriculum. Lessons and activities teach foundational truths of Scripture using a children's version of the Westminster Shorter Catechism. Information about the curriculum can be found at this website.
  • ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL (Middle school age & Up)

Meets in Gray Hall at 9 a.m. We are studying "A Survey of Church History", a Ligonier Ministries series presented by W.Robert Godfrey. The topic of the study is the years 1500 - 1620, with a focus on the Protestant Reformation. We will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation this coming October 31 (the day that Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses on the door of the Catholic cathedral in Wittenberg, Germany). Study guides are available in the church office and in the class on Sunday morning.
